Cam shaft sensor Sign In

1998 Ford Taurus Stationwagon

3.0/6cylinder

I had to replace my cam shaft sensor, can someone explain what that does and would it effect the firing of the spark plugs at all?

Re: Cam shaft sensor Sign In

The cam sensor provide the reference signal for the fuel injector timing. It synchronizes the injectors with the ignition. Timing on that sensor is critical.
