I have a 2005 Honda Civic Ex that I purchased about one and half years ago, it had been wrecked and had minor body damage and had a bad transmission. I had a mechanic replace the tranny and started working on the front end body damage, the car always started up great while working on it but it has sat now for about 7 months while I was working on other projects in the garage. Now it won't start and realize now that I should have used some type of fuel stabilizer while it sat. Do you think the fuel pump is bad? Should I check the filter and strainer before replacing the fuel pump and if so, how do I do that. Would the tank need dropping to check the filter and strainer? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Take out the back seat cushion and remove the fuel pump access cover. Take a long handled screw driver and put your ear to the end of it and the tip on the top of the sender while someone cranks the engine. Do you hear the fuel pump running? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
