I got a chevy s-10 1995, about 4 months ago i've done the complete top end. Since the last week the engine start leaking back is engine coolant from the same place. (if you look at the engine from the front of the truck it is on the right side close to the fire wall) Went to the machine shop with the head no crack or wrap head casting. But i notice that there is alignement pin on each end of the head. It seams leaking from there. Now before re and re the gasket is there something else i should know? N.B. The first time i have put brand new head bolts and torque to spec. long 46 short 43 plus 90 deg. Denis

Arggh! Sounds like you did the right job. Question is could you have been fooled as to the source of the leak. If can possibly dry the area all up and look at it with a dental type mirror if needed. If hard that way try lowering coolant or drain it and pressurize it with air (not over what rad cap says) and use soapy water. Perhaps there is a flaw that is not the gasket that has been missed. Rare but a hose can have a leak that puts out such a small stream that it looks like spider web thickness and near impossible to see yet they leak. It is frustrating that it's the same spot? T
