Chevy orlando engine swap Sign In

Hello all, I have a 2012 chevy orlando 2.4l ecotec that needs an engine swap. I found a used engine here where I live and it has some abbreviations under the description that I don't know exactly what they mean. Also, is there anything else I would need to do other than taking out the old engine, and bolting up/plugging in the new engine? Such as resetting the pcm etc? Any tips/advice is greatly appreciated!

Abbreviations are "key, ran, at"

Assuming you have the exact same engine you won't have to do anything electronically. The computer will reset when the battery is disconnected anyway.

Beyond that, there is a lot of things to look at and do when replacing an engine such as hoses, mounts, water pump, T-stat, ignition parts, engine oil, etc

As far as the abbreviations, at means auto transmission, the other 2, I don't know. Ran may mean just what it says.

I don't have the engine yet, but the one I'm looking at getting will be the exact same. I have never done an engine swap before, but my father in-law will likely be helping me. And he has done engine swaps on different vehicles, so he knows what's going on with them. Thanks a lot for the tips though, much appreciated
