So I've got a 2006 Monte Carlo 3.5l and I find a lot of coolant on the horizontal crossbeam between than runs across the car in front of the water pump and behind the radiator. Is seems to be spraying from somewhere there since I cant trace it back to its source. The weird part is I cleaned everything up, got a pressure tester and I cant reproduce the leak. Even pumping it up 18 psi and leaving it overnight I don't find any coolant. A quick drive around the block however and there is coolant all over the crossbeam again. I cant make it leaking by running the engine at idle either. What would make it only leak when driving?

It's possible that you have a blown head gasket that is pumping hot exhaust gases into the cooling system and what you are seeing is the overflow purging due to excessive pressure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Anything else should show up in a pressure test.

Update! it does leak from the pressure test. It just doesn't make its way so far toward the front of the vehicle so I didn't notice it. Maybe it gets on the belt which tosses it forward? If I run the engine it ends up where I usually see it but I haven't ran it today and its only on the bottom of the engine

You need to find it using the pressure test. Use mirrors if you have to.
