The spammer mafia will stuff your inbox full of crap in no time. Is the theft light on when this is happening? Are you using a factory key or something you got copied at a hardware store? It sounds like your anti-theft system is kicking in which is why it will not engage the starter and kills the engine when you bypass the starter.
