YES , THIS PONTIAC MONTANA 1999 VAN DOESN'T START THE ENGINE BY KEY , WHEN THEY TURN THE KEY THERE IS REGULAR POWER GOING TO EVERYTHING BUT THE ENGINE DOESN'T TURN , NO CLICK NO NOTHING , THEY CHANGED THE STARTER SELENOID AND IT'S NOT THE PROBLEM , THE ENGINE STARTS BY TOUCHING SOMETHING TO THE STARTER BUT IT QUITS OR DIES RIGHT AWAY

Re: ENGINE HELP Sign In

I would delete your e-mail from your post. The spammer mafia will stuff your inbox full of crap in no time.

Is the theft light on when this is happening? Are you using a factory key or something you got copied at a hardware store? It sounds like your anti-theft system is kicking in which is why it will not engage the starter and kills the engine when you bypass the starter.

Sounds like the security system locked you out.
Did anyone change any keys, computers, dash clusters or anything like that?
