Hello, I deliver Pizza's for a living on a return back to work, I had to give my Explorer sport some gas to get up some speed, when I did the trucks rpms went up to 4000 and the truck seemed not to be shifting into gear or was stuck in a lower gear. The trucks speed still increased but at a slower rate. Then the shaking started, loss of power, then more shaking. I just got some front end work done, not sure what this could be now, I have already put way to much into this truck, but do not have the choice. I have heard lots of things but with them the check engine light is on mine never came on, nothing. Its not even leaking any fluids or smoking in any strange way, for a bit there when it first did it there was a strange smell like hot metal. Oil pressure also seemed good. SO please what could this be, thanks to all that reply

Check your vacuum lines. That would cause everything you said went haywire.

badbob85037 stop posting on subjects you know nothing about. That statement was ridiculous. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
