Engine smoking, fluid being released, 94 Lesabre Sign In

The past two times i've ran my buick lesabre there has been smoke coming from under the hood. I opened it up to a very familiar, but personally unidentifiable burning smell. It appears that some sort of fluid is coming out of the engine and burning.

I cant quite describe the smell except to say its kinda like a burning marshmallow smell.

I'd assume it is easily recognizable by any engine pro or probably any car enthusiast at all, but i cant pin point what it could be. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hard to say: Marshmallow and the glycol of antifreeze both have kind of a sweet smell. Look for any fluids that may be low first.

Hoses can and do make really tiny leaks that can spray on something hot and be hard to find. With engine warm and cooling system pressured up shut engine off and sometimes you can see like a fine fishing line or thin like spider web of a stream that won't even make a drip.

Of course that's a wild guess. Just had one a few months ago though,
