Engine turns over but won't start

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES 4 cyl. 2.4 L engine 106,000 miles. Yesterday it overheated and cut off. We discovered there was a leak around the pipe going to the engine from the radiator (bad clamp) and the radiator was empty. We replaced the clamp and the leak stopped, filled the radiator with coolant, and the car still won't start. And this was after it had cooled off for about 8 hours. We checked the spark plugs to see if they were wet (hoping it wasn't a blown gasket) and they were dry. Tried turning it on again with radiator cap off to see if water shot out (no water) and it still wouldn't start. Tried jumping the battery and it still won't start. It turns over but it won't start. Is my engine shot? Someone please help!

Your going to have to take a complete compression test but yes, you could have done major damage to the engine depending just how hot it got. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
