Ford E-350 diesel engine/oil cooler Sign In

My 1990 Ford E-350 Diesel overheated (radiator/water pump problems). After these problems were repaired, I ended up with oil in the coolant, and white smoke out the tailpipe. The dealer said the engine was fine, but the seals on the oil cooler were bad.
After this repair, I drove it home from the dealer (about 15 mile drive). The radiator was 2 gallons low on coolant, and the oil was light tan and muddy, and white smoke from the tail.
Is there really a possibility the oil cooler is the problem? How would oil and coolant mix in the oil cooler? Or shall I just assume the engine has major problems, and needs to be torn down?

Head Gasket Problems:Mad When things mix up like that the head gasket is usually at fault or more possible as you said you cooked the engine!! T
