Ford Taurus overheating Sign In

2001 Taurus. After driving about 30 minutes, the car starts to overheat, or so the gauge fluctuates when slowing down or coming to stop. If I add more coolant that seems to work for about 30 minutes. Now the odd problem. If I pull over and depressurize the cooling system by unscrewing the reservoir cap, and retighten, the problem goes awayy for another 30 minutes. No visible bubbles in fluid in resevoir, exhaust seems fine, and oil is good. Any help???

Sounds like you have air in the system from leaks. You need to pressure test the system and repair the leaks and hope you haven't damaged it internally yet.
