My 95 Galant hesitates when the throttle is pushed open too quickly... does fine if you take off very slowly, idles fine, etc. Have replaced the fuel and air filters, plugs (checked wires, all are firing fine), fuel pump, pcv valve, and throttle position sensor. Also ran fuel treatment through it, manually cleaned each injector separately, and cleaned the EGR valve (was pretty dirty and performance did improve with cleaning... was stalling out and almost dying until cleaned). Have checked extensively for air leaks and found nothing. Have tested the mass airflow, appears to be fine. And have worked with the cat converter. I have only owned the car about a month... was told that the timing belt and all other belts had just been replaced (appears to be true from what I can tell). Test drove great... ran fine for about a day, then started with this crap! Suggestions?

I don't know how you tested or concluded that the MAF was good but that's what I'd be looking at, that and the coil. You might be able to unplug that MAF and let it default and see if it runs better. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
