Hi I need some advice on my car, the tube that runs from the gas door to the gas tank has shaken loose and is no longer aligned with the gas cap, in order to fill up i have to go under the car and line it up, then after filling i cannot close it with the gas cap... I have little to no tools around the house and will probably have to take it in...how much should i expect to be charged for this? would it be possible for me to fix it with little car knowledge? thanks

What kind of vehicle are we looking at? If the filler neck is loose because the little screws have come off, you can replace these with bolts and nuts. If it is broken below that point, you can measure the diametwer and take measurements to parts store and buy a short piece go fuel filler line and clamp it in place. It still all depends on if the neck is broken or if the attaching screws broke loose. I will be gone until Sunday evwening, so if you have anymore questions, someone else will jump in and assist you more. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
