High Oil Pressure and Ticking Noise Sign In

Hi. I have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with about 104,000 miles. Recently my oil pressure gauge has been pegged on high and I am getting a ticking noise when I first start it. It eventually quiets a bit but still has a slight tick. I am using 5w30 oil. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Try replacing the oil pressure sender and next oil change move up a tad on the oil , maybe a 10w30 or a 5w40 with your miles it should be ok.

my silverado does the same thing (ticking after start up).

i always thought that was the hydraulic lifters before they're fully pumped up, so not that unusual for a motor w/ 100k+.

don't know about the psi. i'd go with the oil suggestion.
