Sign In Hi everyone, I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent 1.6L GDI The car does not have a MAF sensor and it so I guess the air intake temperature in the MAP sensor? So after the car warmed up the intake temperature according to the OBD2 is ~120 degrees fahrenheit from city/highway driving and its 70 degrees fahrenheit outside. The dealership said everything is fine and these cars have factory cold air intake( I can see the inlet is in the grill getting the coldest air possible) can anyone shine light on this? Is this just a bad design Or the air gets that hot before combustion? Sign In MAP sensors do not read intake air temp. You have a separate sensor somewhere. Listen to the dealer. Sign In With a little more snooping around the Hyundai MAP sensor does read air intake temp. Sign In Yep, that appears you are correct. First time I saw it done that way.
