I have a 1998 Buick Century that I'm prepping for the junk yard. I also have a newer Century and the tires on the older one are like new, so I swapped them out. I also pulled a speaker for my pickup. Now here is where it gets interesting and stupid on my part. While looking this thing over I decided I could throw a couple of fuses in the old tool box in case I need one down the road. So I pulled the cover off of the fuse block next to the glove box. Look over the diagram on the cover and decide I could use the 10 amp fuse that runs the doom light. Turn the key on light comes on, pull the fuse light goes out. Ok, the diagram must be correct. Pulled another 10 amp that's hooked up to the heated mirrors, etc. The fuse that works the tail lights I, of course, leave alone. I pulled five or six fuses. Then the big whammy,,, car won't start. Put the fuses back in still no dice. Dash lights come on, windows go up and down and the battery checks out at 12.6 volts. It's ok. When you turn the key you don't hear a thing. The solenoid is not kicking in. Nothing. Dead silent. Pulled all the fuses to see if I blew one and pulled and checked all the big ones in the fuse block under the hood. All are ok. This one has me stumped and the kicker is ( how stupid on my part, drive a car to the junk yard and you get about a hundred bucks more than if you trailer it in. So for two bucks worth of fuses I sure pulled a dandy stunt). Anyone know if there is a reset button that would get this thing up and running? I doubt if it's going to be that easy. Well there's the story guys and if anyone has any suggestions on how to get this thing cranked I sure would appreciate it. So people learn from me, when scrapping out a vehicle leave your mitts off of the fuses. Thanks in advance. RRM
