My car suddenly started runni g hot on the way to work. When I got home from work I let it cool then checked coolant level. Coolant reservoir was completely dry. I had just filled it two days ago. Added more antifreeze and within a minute antifreeze started gushing from underneath the engine. The main radiator hose on the passenger side is fine but another hose that seems to connect to the engine or firewall has a large crack. I can replace the hose myself but I don't know what the hose I'm looking at is so I can't look up the hose to order it. Would anyone know what the hose I am looking at might be? It overheated I take that quite seriously hot which is a serious potential problem more than just the hose you see. If you really want I would guess that's a heater hose now go look it up may show a diagram there are two that go thru to heater core gives you heat. It's not so simple even just a hose! Clamps can be wild pest bust other things easily but not the real issue yet. It just doesn't sound like you should do just this hose yet without a lot of help because the reason it blew is probably the real issue you should at least know before getting too far into it have all test equipment after just the seen hose alone a pest. Pest? It's really hard to fill up almost all systems to true full and know it! If not you cause more problems. Next is test it worked and there was no damage caused by the heat or a reason for that to happen unknow at all but really could be. Of all things heat and lack of oil are the fastest to do serious damage to whole engine rendering it not worth fixing and be looking for whole other or another vehicle if need be! Sorry to say it's potentially that bad for a low cost car as they go that just might prove to end it!
