Mercedes Shudders, almost stalls, when stopped

My 2001 Mercedes (C240, I think), has nearly 140K miles. I got the oil changed a few weeks ago, and then experienced a problem: Occasionally, the car shudders badly and feels like it is going to stall when I come to a complete stop with the car still in Drive. A few bits of additional information: 1) sometimes, this shuddering is accompanied by a temporary loss of power -- I hit the gas when the light turns green, but the car doesn't move right away, though power has always returned within a second or two; 2) the RPMs appear to drop off, confirming my suspicion that the car seems about to stall; and 3) if I quickly put the car in Park, the engine will immediately rev higher and the shuddering stops. The problem only happens from time to time, seemingly at random. I took it to a mechanic who took the car for a drive, but it didn't happen while he drove it and he wasn't sure what was wrong. Also, there are no engine codes or warning signs on the car's computer. Any idea what the problem is, or how I can fix it?

If this happened instantly with an oil change service it still can be cooincidental but a check of vacuum lines that are near points that would be checked should be checked. Weak hose, or right on the edge might have split if so much as bumped. Just guessing for now. It may be storing a soft code till problem gets worse. Also - all routine maintenance should be up to date, T
