Im having problems with the mondeo mk 3 2ltr tdci on a 52 plate I have recently brought this car I took it for a test drive and had a mechanic look ova the car said it was fine Car drove loverly I then took it on the motor way to test run it on there as i do alot of motorway miles And soon came across a problem I got to around 55/60 mph And i got the glow plug light flash The car lost all power and cut out I read a few forums and alot said the egr valve I cleaned tha out and the inlet manifold This improved the performance no end I blanked the egr valve off and eventually replaced the egr valve I expected the problem to go after replacing that but i still have the same problem I am able to drive on motorways at a steady 70 but i do have to take extra care while i go up hills as it is liable to cut out at any moment while goin up hill Even at a low speed goin up hill i can lose power What can this problem be It is becoming a expencive job sorting this car out now

Your car isn't sold here in the states, so none of us have tech info or personal experience with them. Is this a mechanical diesel or electronic? Turbo or N/A? When it stalls out will it immediately restart or does it take some work to get it going again?
