Oil Change Overfill Sign In

2001 Sebring went in for an oil change.

Facts are simple..................................................

They suggested Lukas additive to stop a leak through seals.

One guy added one quart Lukas, another guy the oil, hence a one quart overfill.

Three days later oil blows through seals, oil all over engine, even came through headlights. We took car back to oil change place where they admitted the mistake.

Now engine light is on, no heat at all coming through heater. Blows cold air.

Not so simple so fast.

What seals were leaking? Did you mention leaking before this oil service or did they suggest the additive?

Was the Lucas additive ONE whole quart or could it have been less? Did you agree to trying to fix an oil leak with this as a fix vs the real repair for the leaks?

Even if one quart overfilled it really shouldn't have caused what is now seemingly a much bigger problem - perhaps a head gasket or coolant leak is the reason for no heat right now with low coolant level or constant gasses/vapor getting into cooling system thru head gasketing?

What is your question or what are you looking for about this anyway?
