Oil pressure dropping intermittently Sign In

I have a problem with the oil pressure on 2003 H2 Hummer. When I first drive the vehicle, my oil pressure is fine. After a while, (it could be 5 minutes or 2 hours but usually between 15 and 30 minutes), the oil pressure will quicly drop and I have to stop the vehicle, of course. I can let it sit there for a few minutes and then turn it back on and drive it again for a while, up to a few hours sometimes.
The repair shop recommened flushing the oil and this did help because before this I couldn't keepy any pressure up for more than few minutes. What would my next step need to be? Is this due to clogged up passageways through the block or a problem with the oil pump or pan? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

1st whats your mileage? how are you determining oil pressure drops? do you

have a pressure gauge built in the dash? or are you
seeing a oil light on then stopping?

what i would do is hook up seperat a oil gauge just
to be sure its not the vehicles gauge thats faulty
if that checked out ok then you i would drop the
oil pan and check the oil pick/up screen for sludge
