Puzzled Sign In

Year of vehicle: 2006
Make of vehicle: Ford
Model of vehicle: Escape
Engine size:2.3L
Mileage: 75000

When my car is in park and drive it seems to want to stall unless i am giving it gas. It was throwing a P0193 and P2195.

I have since replaced:
Fuel Filter
Upstream Oxygen Sensor
Downstream Oxygen Sensor
Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
Idle Air Control Valve

Any idea's on what i should look at replacing next? It is no longer throwing any engine codes.

I appreciate anyone's time and assistance

Thank You,

Re: Puzzled Sign In

First eliminate all vacuum or air leaks in the system (very important)

Try cleaning the throttle body.
Remove the intake snorkel, have someone hold the throttle wide open for you and scrub the back side of the throttle plate and surrounding bore with an old tooth brush and some carb cleaner. Be sure to spray some into the small holes next to the throttle plate. That should help stabilize the idle.

Re: Puzzled Sign In

If you mean check for vacuum leaks, a smoke tester is the best way.
