ROUGH ACCELERATION Sign In

my 93 GMC dully has a 350 gasoline engine 5.7L, new plugs, fuel filter, carb fuel filter, wires and the cap and rotor seem fine,, it starts fine and idile's good. When you try to accelerate it will not move up in rpm,Its just runs really rough,,,and will not gain power. Sometimes the problem is there right away,,sometimes you can drive for 45 mins with no problem. Gasoline antifreeze has also been tried. The EGR valve is fine, the choke is not sticking. As I mentioned,it starts and idile's very smooth with no problems. This problem just started to occur and the truck had no issues up until a trip home yesterday when it decided to start acting up.

ThankYou for any help.

Re: ROUGH ACCELERATION Sign In

I can see I'm wasting my time here. If that's the way you maintain your car, there's nothing we can do for you.

Re: ROUGH ACCELERATION Sign In

That's strange. It being a 93 it should have TBI.
