Chevy TAHOE ENGINE DIES WHILE DRIVING.
I had the same problem and checked with all of the local mechanics. I was told everything from bad fuel pump , electrical short, Vacuum leak, ect.
FACT. The engine will cut out if it does not get correct input from the Crank shaft position sensor. I verified this with my Hayes repair book. And found several references to this on the web. Replace this $50 at the auto parts store. For the $ its a good pace to start. I replaced this sensor and all my engine probs have gone away.

Hmmmm.... I usually verify bad electrical parts with a DSO. I'll have to look into this Hayes? technique, it sounds a lot faster and easier.

While not as common as some of the other listed failures with this one usually you'll get a P033x, P034x or P1345 to help point you in the right direction, unless of course you have a Hayes thingy and don't need a scope to find the problem.....Tongue
