1995 4Runner 3.0 V-6 325,000 Miles - NO Smoke with Minimal Oil Consumption Truck starts right-up, but rough idle. Idle is set above 1,000 to keep running. I shift (Automatic) manually to get up to speed. Has No power until 15 MPH, then Runs Strong quickly as I then shift to 2nd, then to 3rd (D) & runs great up to freeway speed. No "Check Engine" lights are on. Their is also a quick "Ping" upon take-off (only). I just bought vehicle like this - thinking it's a simple fix ? Thanks for your time & help ( : Michael Patterson personal info deleted

Is that the mileage on the engine too? You should start off by running a compression check on it. Then a cylinder leak down test if you find it has compression problems. The engine will never be able to run right if it is worn out. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
