A few months back I ran up onto a 4-6" curb, ever since the yellow service engine light has been on. About a week ago, I was on a road trip and the light, all of a sudden, turned off. A couple days ago, it came back on and has been on since. I unhooked the battery and turned over the ignition for about 15seconds, rehooked the battery, and the light was still on. I am curious as to whether or not the curb I hit had anything to do with the light coming on or if it is something I should be more worried about.

Go to a major parts house and have the service engine light code read. You forgot to tell us the year, make and model. If it is older than a 95, most parts houses will not read the code. It they read the codes, please post the code number back here and we can offer more advice. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
