Slow Crank When Hot

OK here is the rundown on the car 1995 Firehawk LT1 6sp LT4 heads, intake, and hot cam. I have been experiencing slow cranking while the car is hot, first start of the day is no problem, but after driving for awhile and then stopping for a short period of time the car cranks very very slow, almost like the battery is dying. It has not failed to start yet but I don't to get stranded. The car has a new battery, new plugs, new wires, new coil, new ignition control module, replaced the starter, everything was good for 3-4 days after that but now it is back to the slow starts. Does this sound like I ended up with a defective starter? Or does it sound like something else?

If you are convinced battery and starter are good then this is similar to what was common back when in higher compression V8s mostly as engine is tight from heat for a period of time when shut down - tighter than when it was running and water pump circulating?! We solved that with 1 (one) gauge battery cables which have no resistance to deliver full battery amps to starter. Ask an old f*rt like me - we used to ask for 6 volt cables which are the same heavier gauge T
