Still will not start

I have a 96 Chevy Suburban 1500 4x4. I have been having trouble with it starting. The starter and alternator are both testing out fine when I take it to places like AutoZone. The truck will crank but it will not start. I have tried using a starter fluid and it will try and turn over unsuccessfully. The battery is new, however, if i leave it set connected it will discharge fairly rapidly (this may be because I try and start it without much luck). Any ideas?

If you keep trying with no start it will weaken the NEW battery, have you checked for fire at the plugs while cranking?/ Do you hear the fuel pump come on briefly when the ignition switch is turned to the crank position? And if you are getting fire and fuel the next step would be trying to retrieve the trouble codes from the computer, there is a way by using the key switch the other is to rent/purchase a code reader from autozone about $80.00

The pump would come on for a few seconds as soon as key is turned. If you can't tell have one person to turn key on and someone to hear at the gas tank with the cap off that way to be sure.

There is no noticeable noise. That's probably not good?

One more test, there should be a test port/valve on the fuel lines going to the injectors.Push on the center of it, then try to crank again, stop and push on the valve again if the fuel don't spray out of it then you know that the fuel pump is not working, but don't run out and buy a pump yet, cause a fuse,/ relay/sensor even the computer could cause it not to work, right now we'er just finding a path to the problem.
