i have a 2000 chevy silverado with a 4.3 with 28000 miles on it.it will not start unless i put gas directly into the throttle body, then it will start right up and run just fine untill in shut it off.if its warm it will start a couple of times and then it won't again unless i pour more gas into the throttle body.it has been sitting for about 6 months and never had this trouble before.i put new plugs and a coolant temp sensor,i am assuming because it does start and runs fine that it's not the fuel pump or the cap and rotor any clues would be greatly appreciated thanks oh and i do get a code that reads (system too lean bank 1)

It's probably a bad fuel pump but you need to test the fuel pressure when this is happening. This engine should have 60-66PSI and won't even run below 55PSI.
