Hello All, "Happy Labor Day" I got a 2005 Dodge Durango 5.7 hemi (16 spark plugs) (automatic, a/c) across the road. Friend complaines that the truck (SUV) stalls on deceleration, and that it runs rough when it gets hot. Cold, the truck starts fine no problem. Oh yea, I had a couple of guys tell me that the valve springs in this truck are bad, or weak. I have heard of no TSB or Recalls. A Vacuum gauge test showed a "wobbly" or bouncing reading. I would think that this indicates a poorly sealing motor at the valves. IMO, it could be valve springs or Sticky lifters. Let me know what ya think, thanks guys..

No codes. Maybe clean EGR; throttle body passages; check for vacuum leaks; add some seafoam to pump up the lifters. Anyone ever heard of these 5.7 Hemi's having valve spring problems??
