car engine will not turn over

1990 olds delta royale-v-6---93000 mi.
car was turned off previous evening and next day would not turn over----battery and lites -radio all worked good--lights did not dim when trying to start-any idea's?

Starter?
Using a test light,check for power at the starter solenoid S (small wire)terminal with the ignition key turned to the start position..(need a helper for this )If it lights bright,then the circuit is complete to the starter including the ignition switch,neutral switch ,etc...replace the starter motor assy./with solenoid.
If no light ,then further testing will be necessary.
