When I start the truck and put it in drive and press the brakes at any point while driving or in idle the car surges - how can I explain this um,,,,- its like it wants to die or surges forward and rocks the truck back and forth it rev's over and over agian. any ideas? thanks. robin robinrockingbird New User Jun 28, 2006, 8:59 AM Post #2 of 3 (1782 views) Re: car has a surge problem Sign In Its me again. I had to go into the shop here and get this taken care of right away due to it got a lot worse. Guess what it was??? a small little tear in one of my hoses - a vacuum leak. Boy what a little thing will do to your car. Best part about this. they didnt charge me a dime. I just tipped the guy. What a nice car guy I have.
