cylinder head bolts Sign In

ok, I'm rebuilding two motors right now; a 1995 toyota corolla 1.8L 4 cylinder, and 1993 ford probe 2.5L v6. I'm getting some very contradictory information. In some books and some parts suppliers say that the head bolts don't need to be replaced and others say they do. So I'm wondering, do all head bolts stretch or can some of them get reused?

The Ford use TTY bolts (torque to yeild) get new ones. The Toyota's are but it sure would hurt anything if you used new ones......
