dashboard lights flickering, won't start

I have a 2003 Honda Accord LX with 190K miles. As I approached my house, the radio went dead. After turning off my car and attempting to restart the engine, most of the dashboard lights flickered, the starter motor was turning over, but the car would not start. Less than six months ago, I had replaced the battery with a 500 cca Interstate 51R. Within the last two months, I replaced the starter motor. Upon encountering this issue, checked the positive and ground pathways between the battery and alternator, and the voltage drop was negligible. So I replaced the alternator and serpentine belt. I attempted to jump-start the honda. After charging the battery with the jumper cables connected for 15-20 minutes, the dashboard continues to flicker and the car won't start. I measure the battery voltage at 11.2V . Despite the battery being at only 11.2V (measured while jumper cables off), should the electricity from my Chevy truck be enough to start the Accord? I am wondering what to try next? Thanks. Jon

? Smacks of a lousy battery cable connection as the source problem. Use a charger NOT another vehicle to charge a battery the slower and automatic type chargers that will quit when done. Those still don't tell you real output amps available just the voltage was up and stayed. For battery cables don't forget battery ends and follow to other ends for that connection as well some a PITA to get at. Anywhere cables are weak to the feel or show insulation is heat damages is a likely weak spot nothing in the vehicle will do better that that! Voltage showing that low is already a concern too low so get that with bat- (battery negative) cable off to read about 12.6 at the posts of the battery and again with clamps on at outside of U-bolts for any changes. When that's all stable and right more testing if problems don't cease but not until then it's operation off normal voltage - close but not right. BTW that's universal for 12V set ups for almost anything vehicle or whatever it is, T

Thanks for the help. I borrowed a charger, and charged the battery. Still waiting on the final verdict, but the car is working ok, thus far.

The car should finish off any charge and you should watch it do that. When you tried to charge by jumping that could work with time about any other vehicle but highly suggest not jumping vehicles at all rather use jumper box. Charger not powered from a vehicle is best especially ones that automatically shut off plus charge at a slower rate and wait (not handy many times but saves problems later) to do that. Check out "Battery charger/maintainers" are not nasty costly do take more time but are small, some weather tolerant so said IDK if I like that if really possible to rain where it is. Whole game is how can you know if battery isn't known anything about what it should do? Same as being out of fuel and wondering if or why is wasn't running well still no fuel nothing to test. That's all, T
