Hi, 03 Ford ranger PU 3.0 6 cil ac 86K
was tune up 8 month ago, starting missing going up hills, so i replaced the plugs, bad advice from a friend.
now its running to a point that feels that will cut off any time.
any ideas?

Your friend may have saved you future issues, just didn't fix this one. At that mileage you were due for plugs. Get the codes pulled and post the code numbers here. We need the exact numbers, for example P0300 random cyl misfire. Generic descriptions don't help. With the numbers we can narrow it down. Some parts stores offer this service for free.

It's never a bad idea to replace spark plugs. The problem comes when it isn't done right or needs a lot more than the plugs.

Thank you guys for helping. plug the hand held annalizer and no codes show
back to square one. am suspecting on : new set of plug wires, engine temp sensor, oxigen sensor.
am using 93 octane fuel and runs a little better. but still shakes and engine light flashes.
your advise is?

You really shouldn't drive it any more until you figure out why it is missing. If the light is flashing and you have either a mechanical problem with the engine or an ignition problem, you'll end up cooking the catalytic converter.

thank you! you were close, it was ignition problem.
the coil was bad and I replace the wire cables too. truck its running very smooth. total cost $ 130.00 plus my labor :)
