the engine temp gage on my 1998 Chevy Blazer recently redlined. The coolant was empty so I refilled it; however, the car's engine temp redlines after only a few minutes of driving. Any suggestions would be appreciated

You probably blew a head gasket or cracked a head. You need to have it checked out by a competent shop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
