How many miles are on the car? Is the checkengine light on? From the sypthoms you described, you would have plug/plugs that aren't firing allowing unburn fuel to seep past the rings into the oil.The oil light is coming on because of severely thin oil. Start the car then turn off check for wet plugs.

To add question: Does oil level show too full and you haven't added? Some times injector(s) can pour out gas and or leak down, T

First thing to do is get a fuel pressure reading. If the regulator is bad, it can allow too much fuel to go to the injectors and therefore allow more fuel to the engine. As Tom stated, if an injector is hanging open, it can bleed down the fuel pressure and allow it toi go into the engine. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
