hello i have a 1995 dodge ram 5.2 liter cold start problems runs bad back fires like it`s out of time readings as follows with cold motor if outside temp is 50 coolant senors reads 50 intake air temp will read 50 checked for any slop in timing chain it`s good maybe 1 degree of play oh eng. shows 125 k indexed dist. everything lines up perfect has good compression all 8 cylinders range from 125 to 145 good spark blue new plugs cap rotor wires put new computer in it the main problem is very long duration for injector pulse when eng first starts injector pulse is like 30. milliseconds removed valve covers to see if any valve seemed to be hanging can`t find any mechanical problems this is a obd 1 system can anyone tell me what is responsible to let injectors stay open so long? this also has new crank sensor and pickup coil when you make motor stay running until eng reaches 185 degrees engine will run good checked coolant sensor wiring and air temp from sensors to computer no problems found one more thing when eng. is cold if you put eng. in reverse it will idle miuch better but only in reverse ? check crankshaft for end play could not move crank at all truck is my cross to bear it belongs to my brother and all i want to do is find this problem lol thank you for any help provided

Just something stupid here, but what is the battery voltage when it is cold? Dodge does not like low voltage. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
