head trouble

I have a 1999 mazda b2500,last week my head locked up,i replaced it with another,today i got it back together,took it for a test drive and less than 10 minutes the new head locked up,can anyone help me figure out this problem?

What do you mean by "the head locked up"? is the engine locked and won't turn over with the starter or by hand? Jeff

I think he means the cam froze up? Besides the point of over-tightening the bearing caps, but if it is what I think is happening is that no oil is reaching the cam, but thats if your sure the head is the problem.

I don't think the B2500 trucks are OHC. Jeff

Yea, youre right, I was thinking of the 2.3 and in that case his trouble could be in the lower part of the engine.
