my 96 ford ranger 2.3 4 cyl. is reving high when i pull it out of gear. I was told that it needs an idle control solenoid or valve. I'm not sure where it is. Does anyone know where that part is? If you had a picture of it in place or a diagram that would be awesome let me know thanks!

Try that for info on the idle speed and motor for this vehicle. It might be the motor or the info it's getting from something else??
