misfire compression issue

I have 2002 ford Taurus 3.0 lx. Misfire on 3 and low compression on 2 .. . heater is acting like a/c when I turn on heat normal a/c water comes out where it supposed to for a/c. Are the two connected? what's wrong?

The compressor runs in defrost so that condensation is normal.

Ok so does that explain why I'm getting low compression on cyl. 2 and misfire on 3? I thought they might have a relation. The car is sluggish and misfire light keeps flashing

No it doesn't. Totally different problem that needs to be diagnosed though additional testing starting with a leakdown test.

Did compression test cyl. 2 is 90 all other cylinders read 150. Not sure what leak down test is. Have replaced spark plugs coil spark plug wires.

Squirt a little bit of motor oil into number 2 cylinder and retest. See if the compression reading comes up.

Yes, yes, yes. Leak Down: Have subject cylinder on TDC, spark plug out the apply air pressure noting where it comes out like thru oil fill cap or throttle body. It's not 100% but leads to the diagnosis of the problem. If you don't have a clue on this you need to send it out for diagnosis,
