please help, i just threw a rod.so i went to a junkyard and bought a block and a one head (even though my car is Dohc)i i only bought one.so i put the engine together and once i was finished and tried to crank it a few times,i realized i forgot to push the torqhe converter back all the way in.so i took everything back out and re did the whole thing, the car gets gas and fire, but will not start, when turning the engine over by hand it turn very easy, almost too easy than get very tuff to turn, but does make a complete turn.when cranking there is a loud noise that comes from the stater or torqhe converter soon the starter just grinds out.i think it could be a bad head, starter or torqhe converter, but i don't know.can someone please help me.

The starter drive may be worn. The drive will have 13 teeth i think for mitsubishi. If they are worn, when it engages the fly wheel, it wont grip and will slip. You will hear a grinding noise when it engages.
