Every thing has been checked or changed but oil pres. drops to low after running. During running it is fine. Pump was changed and did not solve. No eng. noise and not oil usage and no smoking this is a 4.0 straight six with low mileage. Problem started when pan was dropped to check light noise and no sign of metal wear or loose rods found. also sending dev. changed.

How low is low? Have you pressure checked this separately? I would. If pump is known good and sender known good and this just floats low at idle when warm as an engine will but usually with lots of miles then you may want to try upping the viscosity of your oil. Perhaps a 15-40 would cover it. If it really is low enough to make a noise than it will cause problems. Old school but I equate this with excessive bearing wear which could be checked at bearing caps with "plastigageTM" and not a real good sign if off (below spec) at low miles! T
