Here is the problem: I had my engine light on for last few days. I went to autozone to read the code. Autozone ppl said they were not able to read the code and it could be a problem with one of the fuse. On there suggestion I opened the inboard and under the dash fuse box to check if a fuse is broken. I pulled out few of them but all looked okay. Finally i put them all in place and properly closed both the fuse boxes. When i turned on my car, the engine light was gone! When I took my car for "state inspection", they said that they are not able to communicate with the onboard computer. My cars audio system and key less entry system also stoped working. Is there any way to fix this problem at home? Or do I have to take it to the car mechanic??? All help appreciated. CAR: HondaCRV 2002 model

Some of the newer models computers have a problem connecting with these generic scanners which autozone uses......it will take a more advance code reader to retrieve the info from the computer.
