over heating?? Sign In

I need help figureing out whats going on with my 1998 for taurus v6 flex fuel i just changed the thermostat and radiator cap and also the head gaskets along with the manifold gaskets today during the middle of the day when its the most hot my car got hot im trying to figure out what eles can be going on with the car to cause it to keep getting hot? please help....

Are the electric fans suppose to come on and stay on when the ac is running?

yes. They should also come on when the a/c isn't on but engine temperature has reached the level preset to kick the fans on

Well i hard wired the fans so they run when the car is turned on and now i ran into another problem and dont know what it is im kinda think its either the wiring of the fans or the EGR valve... I looked it up on the internet and some where its says its desiel idleing??? What happens is i can turn the car on and off a few time then like the 6th time of doing that the car stays running shaking and idleing like it wants to satll and is still running but the key was shut off and will do it for about a minute, then it wont do it again but today it did it back to back for the first time??? please help

Your going to start a fire by hard wiring those fans without a relay in the circuit.
