Hi - My 2003 Honda CRV is overheating and won't blow heat (just cold air). I put in a new thermostat and flushed/replaced the coolant, when I noticed the radiator fan isn't turning on either. not surprisingly, the new thermostat didn't fix the problem - still overheats and blows cold air. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It's still full of air + will overheat, heater not work + probably destroy the engine if not already. These don't just fill up with coolant when you drain them air it still locked inside not coolant so devices that sense temp are confused for items you notice now, T

Great and hope that fully worked. Clue #1 if system has air is heater doesn't work yet it's smoking hot. Repeat the note that sensors for temp and fans or even coolant level if equipped (that might work) are confused by air vs liquid the info isn't trustable. Know that, tons of ruined engines out there over just this you just can't trust air locks will pass to top and be removed like some still will, most don't. Be warned bleeder things for these or not if heater is erratic you are NOT done yet, T

You TEMPORARILY fixed it. You haven't found the original leak that caused it to be low in the first place. You need to pressure test the cooling system to find the leak that started it all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
