Replaced the window motors in driver and passenger side only to discover the passenger was missing its window switch. Need help figuring out the wiring. I noticed that if i touched any of a set of 3 wires I would get a spark. It's also missing 1 wire that the master switch has. Master switch is set up like so. brown blue tan bluewhite 0 0 | 0 0 | black | pink 0 | 0 switch is on either side of the line

I'm not sure what it is your trying to do here. Are you trying to position the wires correctly in the plug? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

eh it didn't work right. No, there isn't a switch on the passenger side and the master switch doesn't work. I'm trying to figure what wires go where to make the window go up and down.

What are we working on? Is it the little truck that you were asking about earlier? If we knew what we are working on, we can find the diagram. Or you can go to www.autozone.com and search their diagrams. That is a free site. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

oh and the other thing. found the chart. thought im not exactly sure where the switch is. link thats the wiring chart for my truck, its chart 16. Im guessing the drk/blue/white, and/or the tan have to connect with pink to make the window go up or down.

That idea really isn't going to work. That circuit is tied into the master switch and the wires reverse polatiry when the switch is triggered so unless your putting it back to original, with the original switch, it just isn't going to work. The wiring diagram isn't going to help you at all. You won't even understand it.

I was thinking something like that. Figured there needed to be a complete circuit for them all to work. Thanks for your speedy reply. Guess I'll look into getting a switch. Thanks.

I guess what I was really wondering, was if I could grab a toggle switch and just wire it up.

You could but it would be a pain. The OE switch reverses the polarity of the motor to get up & down. You would have to isolate the 2 wires of the motor from the rest of the circuit & then come up with a combo of switches to get up & down. Both wires from the motor are power & ground at some point. It would be easier just to get the correct switch & wire that up.........

That's what I explained to you before. The switch both reverses the polarity with each direction but it's also wired in parallel with the master switch because that switch supplies the power for all of them.

What we are trying to explain to you is that you can set all the wiring up for one direction and then everything has to change for the opposite direction and the switch does that.
