Does any one know what the normal running temp. should be on a 1999 chev. Silverado with a 5.3? this thing is running at about 220 degrees city. 200-205 hi-way. that seems a little warm.

That is a bit warm for that system. The fact that you're seeing a difference between city and highway would make the fan clutch very suspect. The 205 figure is closer to normal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
