the engine turns off Sign In

hi there everyone it's a 2001 Honda civic the engine runs fine for about two minutes and turns off, just for the info the sane thing happened to my friends 98 crv after we replace the ignition switch it was fine, could this be the same flue.

No problem - just don't go far at a time, just kidding. If it happened to another doesn't mean the same is your trouble.

Does it restart again right away? If not how long is it down? I ask because you may need it to stay off and not starting to really isolate at least lack of spark or fuel.

If you can be ready and catch it you want to know which is acting up. Codes may help if you can get them read.

Gotta know if it starts right back up or how long it takes for now as I doubt you can get codes unless a place is within 2 minutes or have the code reader.

Begin with that info for us and move on from there as to what to check,

hello there there is no code or check engine it just turns off, and when I try to start it again it cranks but does't start. and I DON'T HEAR THE FUEL PUMP BUZZING.

Is this just stalling or staying off for a while and how long? You don't know if there's a code pending or not yet unless you can check,

The biggest/most common problem these things have is the main relay, under the dash on the driver's side..
