water loss

we have a 1998 chevy lumina 6 cyl that is loosing water only after it's been running and it's a significant amount we have no idea where it's coming from as we can see no leaks

Check out the water pump. It's hidden behind a pulley on the 3.1 if that engine. Easy one to do too. They can leak thru the seal when running but not when still. Take a peek up at bottom of this and other items with a mirror and you may find it. A pressure tester would show it up fast right in front of you too if needed. In general - leaks will be the highest and furthest forward of where evidence is found, T
